Dave Mason is bringing his Traffic Jam show to the Newton Theatre on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, January 17 at 11 a.m.

Take a journey back to the greatest days of rock with Dave Mason’s sight and sound experience, Traffic Jam. Join Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and co-founder of the legendary band Traffic, Dave Mason for an evening of music history as he retraces the earliest days of his career with Traffic and the works that launched his successful solo career.

Dave Mason is a living rock legend. At age 18, the Worcester England native teamed up with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood to form the legendary band Traffic, who had a profound affect on the genre of rock and roll. While still a teen Mason penned the Traffic hit “Feelin’ Alright.” The song became a global rock anthem and has been recorded by dozens of artists (including Joe Cocker who had a huge international hit with the song), “Feeling Alright” remains a highlight of Mason’s live shows today.

Tickets for Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam are $59.00 for Premium seating, $49.00 for the Orchestra and $39.00 for the Balcony. Tickets for this performance will go on sale on Friday, January 17th at 11:00 am. Purchase tickets by visiting www.thenewtontheatre.com or contact the Box Office at 973-383-3700.
