Between four and to 10″ of snow fell down on Rockland County Tuesday, depending what town you measured in. Beginning late Tuesday morning and lasting about 12 hours, the storm packed a strong wallop, enhanced by some of the lowest temperatures of the year. New York City, Long Island and mid-Jersey saw the worst of it, however, with many locales in that swath measuring snowfall between 12 and 18 inches.
