Carmelo Anthony of the NY Knicks set the franchise and Madison Square Garden record with 62 points Friday night, in a home game against the Charlotte Bobcats.
Anthony left the game with over 7 minutes left because the Knicks were winning in a blowout. He likely could have made it to 70 if he played the entire game.
The Knicks won the game 125 – 96, improving their record to 16 – 27. It was announced earlier in the day that Anthony would be an All-Star game starter.
