Reda Out, Dadey Jr. in as NYGOP First Vice Chair

Chairman of the Rockland County GOP Vincent Reda has been replaced as the state GOP’s first vice chairman by Chairman Thomas V. Dadey, Jr. of Onondaga County, NYGOP announced this week. Reda had held the position–the second highest ranking party position in the state–since 2006.

Party leaders cited a desire to balance upstate and downstate voices as a reason for bringing in Dadey, Jr. Reda will remain as the state vice chair representing the Hudson Valley region.

“I am thrilled to announce Tom Dadey of Onondaga County as our new first vice chair,” said New York State Republican Committee Chairman Ed Cox.  “Tom’s breadth of experience and history of winning elections have been an asset to our committee on the county level and I look forward to working with him to grow our Party and promote fiscal responsibility and economic growth in the state of New York.

“I would also like to thank outgoing First Vice Chair Vincent Reda for his extraordinary service over the past eight years. Chairman Reda has been an exemplary leader and I look forward to continuing to work with him as the Regional Vice Chair for the Hudson Valley.”
