They were supposed to journey to the annual Right to Life march in Washington D.C. that coincides with the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, but Governor Andrew Cuomo closed the roads due to Tuesday night’s snowstorm. So, as fate would have it, the decision of the governor stopped the pro-life protesters from making the trip.
Instead Rockland Right-to-Lifers, including organizers Eileen Peterson of the Rockland County Catholic Association, Father Jerry Deponai of St. Anthony’s in Nanuet and Noson Leiter of Torah Jews for Decency held a gathering of dozens outside the Planned Parenthood in Spring Valley.
Protesters regularly gather there throughout the year to protest the practice of abortion.
