A Winter Storm Warning is effect for most of the region, as a winter storm is expected to arrive after midnight tonight, dropping significant snow and ice in Rockland County. In southern Rockland, sleet and freezing rain is expected to mix in, holding snow totals down to 4-6″ but making road conditions even more treacherous, while in north Rockland 6-10″ are expected by the time the storm leaves the area Wednesday afternoon.
Another storm system has been forecast to impact the Northeast between Saturday and Monday, but computer models have varied widely in their predictions, with some seeing a small storm and others seeing a massive blizzard. Stay tuned.
