Nyack College Chorale, under the direction of Professor Joel Jameson and student director, Jamal Sarikoki, will perform Requiem Mass in D minor (K. 626) by W.Al Mozart\. Special guests: Laurelle Virola, soprano; Kate Wiswell, alto; Patrick Dennison, tenor; and Joel Jameson, bass. Accompanied by chamber orchestra and organ.

Nyack Collegeโ€™s trio-in-residence with Professor Sungrai Sohn, violin; Dr. Chungsun Kim, cello; and Dr. Tammy Lum, piano performs trios by Tchaikovsky and Thomas Oboe Lee. Their CD, โ€œPiano Trios: Parker, Rachimaninoff, Chaminade, Liljestrand & Piazzolaโ€ will be available for purchase at the concert.

Concerto Competition Concert

The winner of the Nyack College Piano Concerto Competition will be the featured artist on this concert, performing the Chopin Concerto No. 2 in F Minor Op. 21, I. Maestoso (string chamber version). The pianist will be accompanied by the String Orchestra and directed by Professor Sungrai Sohn. Also on the program, โ€œA Short Hour Unseenโ€ by Robert Davidson and “Alceste” by C. W. Gluck

Students, faculty, and friends perform an eclectic program of vocal, keyboard, and instrumental chamber music, representing a variety of musical styles and periods, in the elegant ambience of Pardington Hall.

Wind Ensemble & Handbells

Dr. Glenn Koponen & Ms. Jennifer Scott, Directors
Established in 1968, the Wind Ensemble is comprised of students, faculty, and community musicians performing works for concert band under the direction of Dr. Glenn Koponen. Selections by the Nyack Handbell Choir, directed by Jennifer Scott, will also be performed.
