Verizon Wireless Announces Major Hiring Effort in Rockland County and Throughout New York Metro Region

The company is actively hiring 100 positions in Rockland and 250 positions in New York and New Jersey  

Verizon’s call center in Orangeburg is bringing jobs to Rockland County as promised.

The company announced it is hiring 100 new sales employees at the location by the end of May. The communications giant is also seeking another 150 full and part times sales staffers for locations around the NY Metro region.

Verizon says the new positions offer competitive salaries and benefits, including health care coverage that begins on the first day of employment, and participation in the company’s 401(k) program, with a dollar-for-dollar match of up to six percent of an employee’s salary contribution.

Verizon, which employs approximately 3,000 employees across the New York Metro Region, offers tuition reimbursement for full-time and part-time employees, adoption assistance and bonuses, in addition to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and evenings.

The company says it promotes work/life balance by offering lactation rooms for new mothers, on-site college courses, education study rooms, dining facilities and state-of-the-art fitness centers staffed with personal trainers. The Orangeburg call center also offers an on-site day care center.
