DWI arrest in Clarkstown

On Sunday April 13, 2014 at approximately 1:50 a.m., the Clarkstown Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Rt. 59 in front of the Sears Automotive for speeding. The driver, Rodney Dorilas, 45, of Spring Valley was interviewed and appeared to be intoxicated.  Dorilas was administered field sobriety tests which he failed.

He was placed under arrest and transported to Clarkstown Police Headquarters where he submitted to a breathalyzer test, which he also failed.  Dorilas was issued an appearance ticket to return to Clarkstown Justice Court on May 14, 2014 to answer the charge of driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor), driving with a blood alcohol concentration greater than .08 (misdemeanor), speeding(traffic infraction) and failing to use designated lane(traffic infraction ).
