GARNERVILLE – A new business featuring cold-pressed smoothies and deli services is set to open tomorrow on West Ramapo Road in Garnerville.
Beginning on May 6, Green Moonshine will offer a unique take on organic foods. The new deli-style business’ main attraction is a huge juicer which resembles a moonshine still but produces smoothies and juices rather than alcohol.
Along with drinks, the place also offers a range of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and low glycemic foods prepared by a chef and baker with consultation from a nutritionist, all on-premise. The business also offers nutrition advising.
“We can design healthy eating habits and meal plans for people on-premise and it can go as far as our chef making meals for them,” Owner and operator Julie Wollman said.
Food options include brioche sandwiches, guacamole, salads, fruits and vegetables, organic coffees and teas, local farm eggs, milks, nut milks, sprouted nuts and chocolates. Once it reaches the shop, the food will be prepared as soon as possible to preserve its freshness and taste.
“We don’t want anything old because it’s not meant to be eaten that way,” Wollman said.
Green Moonshine will be open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is located in Foremost Plaza, across from Mobil, next to Aloha Tan.
