“This is super exciting for Nyack,” said Andy Stewart, town of Orangetown supervisor, also a resident of Nyack. “I’m really glad to see something finally here—the site has been vacant for so long, and Dawn and Harvey have turned it into something special.”

The delightful “deli” has a bar, tables and will partner with Rockland Center for the Arts to bring music and local artists’ work to the Market. “We love the idea of bringing something unique to Nyack,” aid Herschko. “It was a big investment, but we believe in the village.”

So does Stewart. “I’m sure people will be visiting Nyack to watch the new Tappan Zee bridge being built, but when it’s done, the bikers’ path is going to bring a lot of new tourism to Nyack.”
