Haverstraw Board honors St. Gregory Barbarigo’s CYO girl’s basketball teams for state championships

At a board meeting earlier this month, the Town of Haverstraw honored two girls basketball teams from St. Gregory Barbarigo’s CYO program for winning state championships this season.

St. Gregory’s Varsity Girls team was honored including players Aleya Corretjer, Francesca Cipollina, Mairead Durkin, Megan Ferguson, Elizabeth Fox, Shannon Knipl, Alexa Huertas, Caeli Porette, Nina Lasso and Kristen O’Connor; and coaches Joe Corretjer, Ellen Sasso and Joan Silvestri.

The Gidget Division team also was honored for winning the state championship, including players Olivia Boyd, Grace Mallozzi, Jenna Castaldo, Irene Maurer, Riley Conklin, Courtney Murphy, Megan Dwyer, Melissa Quinones, Neive Fausel, Elizabeth Sciarabba, Camerson Gavan, Jenna Siuta and Julia Gill; and coaches Mike Gill, Christa Mallozzi and Katie Delangoi.
