Finn McGovern charges with DWI

On Saturday May 24, 2014 at approximately 4:30 s.m., the Clarkstown Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Lake Road and Rt. 303 for a traffic infraction. The driver, Finn McGovern, 24, of Valley Cottage was interviewed and appeared to be intoxicated.  McGovern was administered field sobriety tests, which he failed.  He was placed under arrest and transported to Clarkstown Police Headquarters where he refused to submit to a breathalyzer test. McGovern was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 1^st (felony), driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor), and refusal to take breath test (traffic infraction). McGovern was arraigned at Clarkstown Justice Court, given $3,500 bail and a return court date of 5/28/2014 at 9:30 AM.
