Coach Delva was born and raised in Spring Valley and is a graduate of the Spring Valley High School Class of 2000. He graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelors Degree in Communications in 2005 after playing four years of college football including being the captain of the team his senior year. He has coached the Spring Valley High School Football team for the last nine years. He is also the head track coach and is a mentor for young student athletes in the district. He currently works with special needs students with autism and down syndrome at the school. He also works for the Martin Luther King Center in Spring Valley as a assistant camp director for their summer camp program.

Former World Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T will be the special guest referee for his match. The team will use the money raised to help fund areas of the program that no longer can be funded by the school district. The team only receives the standard equipment and footballs because the school district has made major cuts to the athletic program in recent years. The money will be used to help fund the offseason camps the team attends as well as to purchase training tools and desperately needed new uniform jerseys.

Spring Slam is a once in a lifetime event and one of the biggest Northeast Wrestling events of the year. It will include seven big matches and there will be a special fan “Meet and Greet” before the show with Matt Hardy, Mick Foley, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Booker T and all the stars beginning at 6 p.m. This is an opportunity for the fans to get autographs and pictures or even just shake the hands of their favorite wrestling stars.
