Role reversal: Liam Russell seeks to walk away with dancer’s cash

On Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 3:15 a.m., the Clarkstown Police Department responded to Stiletto Gentlemen’s Cabaret, 180 Rt. 59, in Nanuet for a report that a woman’s purse had been stolen from her person.

The female victim, a 31-year-old employee of the cabaret, and resident of Rutherford, NJ, told police that a male had stolen her purse containing over $300. Responding patrol units, including a K-9 unit, and witness information aided in locating Liam Russell, 19, from Blauvelt, at the nearby Nanuet McDonald’s. He was identified and was arrested after a brief struggle with officers.

Russell was charged with grand larceny fourth (felony), criminal possession of stolen property fifth (misdemeanor) and resisting arrest (misdemeanor). Russell was arraigned at Clarkstown Justice Court. Bail was set at $500 and he returns to court on June 4, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
