The Blauvelt Lions Club had their annual Memorial Day Ceremony in Lions Park this past Monday. The national anthem was sung by Alice Ryan and the Orangetown Poet Laureate, Rose Marie Racioppi created a poem specifically for this event. The guest speaker was Master Sgt. Misker Derseh and the colors of the day were presented by the Rockland County Detatchment of Marine Corps League Honor Guard, who played taps along with their 21-gun salute.

After the ceremony all were invited to the Blauvelt Volunteer Fire House for lunch.
