The S.W. Johnson Fire Company of Garnerville has been sponsoring a series of Dinner Nights that organizers say are a big success both for the company and the community. Co-chairs of the events, six-time past president Butch Babcock and ex-chief and captain Troy Spong both agree that these dinners are once again making the fire company the center of the community; and a place for families to go have a good time.
This Saturday evening, June 14 the company will be hosting a “Cowboy Rib Eye” night. The evening will feature grilled to perfection Rib Eye steaks, twice-baked potatoes and a vegetable. Included with the entrée will be S.W. Johnson’s renowned soup and salad bar along with desserts. The price is $20 per person. Beer, wine and soda are also available for an additional charge.
The company will be doing a different dinner theme each month through October. The schedule is: July 19 “Polish Night,” August 30 “BBQ Night,” September 27 “October-Fest” and October 25 “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day.”
