PALISADES CHILI CHILI BANG BANG COOK OFF

Turn up the heat, at the Palisades Center’s Chili Cook-Off! The shopping center will host a day of taste-testing and fun, in collaboration with Rebuild Hi Tor Animal Shelter to benefit their efforts to restore Hi Tor Animal Shelter in Pomona, NY.

On July 12 from 1 – 3 p.m., participants will showcase their favorite recipes in The Cheesecake Factory parking lot in hopes to win the grand prize of $300. Second place will take home $200 and third place $100. The event will be hosted by Food Network’s Cut Throat Kitchen Champion, DJ Chef.

Those who are interested in participating will be required to pay a $25 registration fee and applications are available for pickup or online. All applications must be received by June 22, 2014. People who wish to sample and vote for their favorite chilies will be asked to pay a $5 fee for admission. All proceeds collected will be donated to Rebuild Hi Tor Animal Shelter.
