All Natural Body Building Competition on May 10, 2014. The Open Class is for the I.F.P.A. Pro Card. Both classes have roughly 40 competitors, separated into four different groups of 8-10 people. Effaldana placed third and fifth out of the 8-10 competitors in each respective class. Novice is for first time competitors and competitors who have not won a Novice competition category before.

Effaldana prepared for the competition for over one year with the coaching and support of his trainer, Doug Miller, an I.F.P.A. pro and creator of Core Nutritionals. Effaldana started on his training at Snap Fitness in Stony Point before he was coached and trained by Miller at 24 Hour Fitness in Nanuet.

According to Anthony’s mother Kristine Effaldana, “It all started when Anthony was 12 and decided to take Kung-Fu at Romaine’s Kung-Fu school in Stony Point and later at Elite Martial Arts in Pomona, where he became a second degree black belt. I definitely believe that his accomplishment in the martial arts is what gave him the confidence and the commitment to be achieve his dreams.”
