MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAMS & SERVICES OF ROCKLAND TO CELEBRATE MILESTONE

It is a double celebration this year! Meal on Wheels (MOW) of Rockland is getting ready to celebrate its 9 millionth meal served during this its 40th anniversary year in operation. One of the charity’s volunteers will be delivering the 9 millionth meal on July 23, 2014. County Executive Ed Day, who has helped serve meals at the Clarkstown Senior Center in the past, will help make the special delivery. Before Mr. Day goes on his route, he will say a few words at the office of MOW located in Nanuet, NY to commemorate the delivery.
