The Town of Clarkstown Parks and Recreation will hold its annual Independence Day concert and fireworks Thursday, July 3 at Nanuet High School located at 103 Church Street. The event starts at 6 p.m. with inflatable bounce houses. At 7:15 p.m. the Rockland County Radio Control Club will perform a demonstration. The concert starts at 8 p.m. to be followed by fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m.
In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Nanuet High School Auditorium at 8 p.m. The rain date for the fireworks will be the following Wednesday, July 9 at Nanuet Senior High School. As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 the fireworks had not been cancelled, unlike those in Haverstraw, where a bad weather forecast prompted the town government to push the show back two days.
