On Sunday, June 29, at about 11:30 a.m., a local con robbed the Rockland County Times offices in Nanuet, sneaking in a side entrance that was unsecured due to an adjoining office being in use. He made off with a computer, a scanner and a small television valued at $2, 000 total, before cutting his losses.
Monday was a day of mystery at the newspaper’s office, as employees tried to piece together who the bad guy could have been. Clarkstown PD appears to have the case solved and an arrest is impending.
Said Editor-in-Chief Dylan Skriloff, “We are fortunate in that the perp did not take more, as that could have crippled our operations for the week. I would like to tip my hat to the Clarkstown PD for doing an excellent job. It was impressive to watch the detectives operate up close and solve the case.”
