When they worked together years ago in The NYPD patrolling the streets of the Bronx in the Anti-crime unit they brought a pro-active no nonsense approach to police work. Recently Sean Joyce & James Keenan have reunited to form Semanon Security School, conducting NY State Security Guard certification classes in Stony Point.

Having run into eachother by chance last year Joyce & Keenan had been out of touch for a few years but since that meeting have rekindled the old friendship as well as embarked on their recent venture.

Semanon Security School is a division of Semanon Security Consultants Inc. which was started by Joyce a few years back and is a full range Personal & Asset protection security service. The School provides New York State certification classes for those wanting to become licensed by NY State to work as a security guard. They also teach an annual mandated course which active security guards must take every year to keep their license in good standing.

Semanon Security School currently holds classes at RHO Building owned by the Town of Stony Point and class schedule can be found on the website at www.semanonsecurity.net. “We are very pleased with the location and see our school as a win win situation. We do business with the town, and our school helps certify people to become employed” said Keenan. Joyce added “ Many folks become certified to work part-time in the field and supplement their main income or some aspire to make a career in security, with current unemployment numbers so high we are happy to help put people in a situation to become employed.”

The classes are offered monthly and the next scheduled classes are being held on Saturday July 12, 2014 in both AM & PM sessions. Semanon is currently running a summer special at $40. Per class and offers discounts to Veterans and current students. Min age requirement is 18. To sign up to become certified or take required annual class call 845-206-9554 or 914- 455- 0936.
