YONKERS — The Empire City Casino Summer Concert Series continues as heavy metal legends Queensryche take the stage this evening Sunday, July 20.
The Seattle-based band has been enjoying a renaissance the past year, recording a well received new album and touring the world with new lead singer Todd La Torre. A legal fight between former leader singer Geoff Tate and the rest of the band over who had the right to the name “Queensrcyhe” was settled recently, opening the way for the current lineup.
The band is now comprised of three original members Michael Wilton (guitar), Eddie Jackson (bass) and Scott Rockenfield (drums), along with new comer La Torre and Parker Lundgren (guitar), who has been playing with the band for about five years.
The Rockland County Times is offering a chance to win free tickets to any of the remaining Empire City concerts (two tickets to five different winners). The Queensryche winners have already been selected, but don’t miss your chance to enter the sweepstakes for next week’s July 27 Kenny Rogers show or for any following shows.
Winners will be selected by random draw. Entering is simple. Visit this link for instructions: CONCERT TICKETS GIVEAWAY.
