CLARKSTOWN STARS 12U BLACK WINS AABC PEE WEE REESE NORTH ATLANTIC REGIONALS AND QUALIFIES FOR WORLD SERIES IN TOA BAJA PUERTO RICO

Stars 12 Regional Champs PicThe Clarkstown Stars won the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) North Atlantic Super Regional Tournament against teams from Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. The Tournament took place from July 24 to 27 in Tuxedo, NY. The teams attending the Regionals qualified by playing in district tournaments.

The Stars finished 4-1 in the tournament. In the Championship game, the Stars beat the Bergen Express 6-2 in extra innings. Liam Hehir put together a great outing on the mound. Bergen Express managed just two hits off Hehir, who allowed just two earned runs during his seven innings of work. Closer Miles Massay put away the final three outs to record the save. Max Viera hit the tie breaking home run in the top of the eighth inning, and he also received the game MVP Award.

The Stars were one of only two teams that played in the regionals with their regular season roster. AABC rules allows teams to pick up players from other teams for Regional Tournaments, but the Stars chose to stick with their original roster of 12. The team will be playing in the AABC World Series in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, August 6-11 against teams from around the country and Puerto Rico.

The Stars Black 12U Roster is: Ben Partridge, Brian Paroff, Christian Schwarz, Liam Hehir, Max Viera, Michael Andretta, Michael Iodice, Miles Massay, Patrick DeFeciani, Peter Durocher, Thomas Quinn and Zachary Kahn. The team is managed by Mike Partridge.
