Groundbreaking today for new Haverstraw fields

A groundbreaking ceremony for the future home of the Town of Haverstraw 25 acre recreational fields at the former Helen Hayes property will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m.

Those planning to join Supervisor Howard Phillips and the Haverstraw Town Board at the groundbreaking include representatives from Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Office, Senator William Larkin, Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski, representatives from Helen Hayes Hospital, the New York State Department of Health, the Challenger League and Haverstraw Little League.

The 25 acres have been sought after for more than 30 years by the Town of Haverstraw.
