On the evening of Monday, Sept. 22, the Rocklanders have the opportunity to attend the areaโs only five-star culinary extravaganza — A Taste of Rockland, which features signature foods from chefs and owners of 42 eating establishment all in one place on one night. Joining A Taste of Rockland for the first time are new restaurants Pier 701 Restaurant & Bar and 14 & Hudson in Piermont, Prohibition River in Nyack, Paramount Country Club in New City, Flagstone Restaurant at Crowne Plaza in Suffern, and BOCES Young Chefs โ a group of high-school-aged aspiring chefs.
The 19th Annual A Taste of Rockland is 6 โ 10 p.m. and takes over the entire ground floor of the stunningly beautiful Hilton Pearl River located at 500 Veterans Memorial Highway in Pearl River. This year ARC will honor Rockland County Executive Ed Day, who had been a long-time member of The ARC Foundation of Rockland and Taste committee member.
Chefs and owners of the areaโs best restaurants, including Restaurant X, Marcelloโs, Union, Hudson Water Club, Wasabi, The Hudson House of Nyack, The โ76 House, Bella Giannaโs, Pasta Cucina, Restaurant 1915 and Blue Roof Tapas Bar at Bear Mountain Inn, Two Spear Street, 8 North Broadway and Del’Arte, are on hand to prepare and serve their signature dishes, and other establishments showcasing their finest desserts.
Tickets are limited so early purchase is encouraged. All proceeds from the Taste benefit people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities who receive services through ARC of Rockland.
