Legislator Christopher J. Carey appoints Legislator Douglas Jobson as deputy minority leader

Rockland County Legislator Christopher J. Carey (R-Bardonia) has announced his appointment of Legislator Doug Jobson (R-Stony Point) to the position of Deputy Minority Leader in the Rockland County Legislature.

“Legislator Jobson is a solid choice to be the Deputy Leader of the Rockland County Legislature,” Minority Leader Carey said. “Legislator Jobson’s experience and understanding of county government make him uniquely qualified for this leadership position in the legislature.”

“I am honored to receive the appointment as Deputy Minority Leader, and I look forward to working with Minority Leader Carey and my colleagues to advance the causes of the Republican minority in the legislature,” said Legislator Jobson.

Legislator Christopher J. Carey represents District 9, which includes a large part of the Town of Clarkstown. He was first elected in 2011. Legislator Jobson represents District 1, which includes Stony Point, and parts of Haverstraw and Ramapo. He was first elected in 1997.
