Marci Geller has toured Europe and played in many U.S. states singing her folk songs, which give a voice to the average person’s struggles and triumphs. Geller’s goal is to hit all 50 states.
In two weeks she’ll be visiting New City’s Borderline Folk Music Club along with featured percussionist and piano artist Marshal Rosenberg. Geller said she will be performing several songs from her albums, which are produced and directed by her husband Gian DiMauro. This event is one of the last two Borderline concerts that will be produced by Sol Zeller.
Geller, born in Manhattan and raised in Queens, had her first gig at a restaurant in Mineola with Rosie O’Donnell working as MC. Following the New City gig she is looking forward to a show at Borderline South in Boca Raton, FL where her parents live.
The Borderline New City event October 19 is at 2 p.m in Steve Shapiro’s living room at 7 Trailside Court in New City. Jim Colbert singer and songwriter DJ from Bellefonte, Pennsylvania will be opening for Marci. For tickets and information solz@optonline.net or 845-354-4586.
