Rockland Community College unveiled a newly-installed entryway to its library on Friday, October 3, an addition it hopes will encourage greater access to the school’s information services. The new entrance will allow students to access the library from the second floor, connecting to the Student Union. Along with the doorway itself, renovations to the area include new carpeting at the entryway and two new display cases for diversity and cultural heritage exhibits. The library serves as an academic hub for students, with 80,000 hard-copy books, 130,700 e-books, 65 print periodicals, 50,500 streaming videos, 55,000 e-periodicals, 6,600 audiovisual items and 100 databases covering all topics taught at the college.
