Former Governor George Pataki endorses Chris Day for US Congress

Chris Day, candidate for Congress in Westchester and Rockland Counties, today announced the endorsement of former New York State Governor George Pataki.

“Chris Day has the leadership, energy and fresh ideas to deliver for the people of the 17th Congressional District,” Pataki said.

“Whether its delivering assistance for the new Tappan Zee Bridge, working to create new jobs or fighting to keep taxes low, Chris Day will work hard and make us proud,” Pataki continued.

“I am humbled and honored to have the endorsement of Governor Pataki. During his tenure, Westchester and Rockland Counties experienced low unemployment and incredible growth and prosperity. I will work to deliver the same quality of leadership and dedication to the 17th Congressional District that he brought to New York State.”

Pataki served the 17th Congressional District not only as governor, but as a member of the New York State Senate, New York State Assembly and as mayor of Peekskill.

Additionally, Pataki will be joining Chris at an event in support of his candidacy at La Fontana in Nyack on October 24 from 7 – 9 p.m.

“It is important to have members of Congress who you can count on and partner with to make our State a better place for everyone. I am please to endorse Chris and support his run for Congress. He will make a great representative.” Pataki concluded.
