Minor injuries in Tuesday morning Valley Cottage school bus accident

On Tuesday November 4, 2014 at approximately 7:40 a.m. the Clarkstown Police Department responded to the area of Rt. 303 and Lake Road in Valley Cottage for a report of a two car accident involving a school bus. The accident involved a Peter Brega school bus carrying three children to the Rockland County Day School in Valley Cottage.

The bus struck a car in the southbound lane of Rt. 303. The driver of the school bus, as well as the three children on the bus, were transported to Nyack Hospital for minor injuries. Both occupants of the car hit by the bus refused medical treatment at the scene.

The accident had minimal impact on traffic and the cause of the accident is being investigated. The ages and sex of the injured are not available at this time.
