RAMAPO PD CHARGES MAN WITH RAPE

Omar Richards, 35, of Spring Valley NY on the charge on Rape 1st degree, by forcible compulsion. The arrest was the result of an investigation into a complaint from a female victim. The crime occurred within the unincorporated part of the Town in the early part of October, 2014. Richards was arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Court in front of Hon. Justice Simon and held on $100,000.00. He was transferred to the Rockland County Jail with a return date of 12/09/14 at 9am, Town of Ramapo Court.
