Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), the largest rural lifestyle retail store chain in the United States, today announced that construction is underway on a new location in Stony Point, the Company’s 72nd location in New York.

The Stony Point Tractor Supply store will be located at 158 S. Liberty Drive, and will employ an estimated 15 full- and part-time team members. The store will be approximately 24,501 square feet, including sales floor and support service space. A fenced exterior space will be used for storage and displaying items such as fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment.

“Tractor Supply looks forward to being a member of the Stony Point community,” said District Manager Erik Franklin. “Stony Point is a great fit for Tractor Supply due to the horse owners and part-time and hobby farmers in the area. Many of our new customers are pleasantly surprised by our unique mix of product offerings, which in addition to farm products and hardware, also includes pet food and supplies and clothing items for the entire family.”

The contractor for the project, StoreCrafters Inc. of Rochester, began construction on Jan. 5. A completion date has been tentatively set for mid-April.
