Teen’s baseball field joyride turns into trouble

A teen’s alleged joy ride turned into Class A misdemeanor charges this afternoon after Ramapo PD arrested the youth for operating his vehicle on a local baseball field.

The Ramapo officer on patrol observed the vehicle being operated on the Orchard Hill Park Baseball Field at approximately 1:15 p.m..  The field was damaged as a result, RPD said.

The officer arrested the vehicle operator, an 18-year-old male from Suffern, and charged him with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a Class A misdemeanor.  He is currently being held in the Town of Ramapo Police lockup.
