Special Legislative Committee to Discuss NJ Transit Fare Hike and Service Cut Proposals

The Rockland County Legislature’s Special Committee on Transit will meet on Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss and vote on a resolution sponsored by Committee Chairwoman Harriet Cornell to oppose a proposal by New Jersey Transit (NJT) to increase fares on the Pascack Valley and Port Jervis rail lines and eliminate the late train on the Pascack Valley Line.  The meeting will take place in the chambers of the Rockland County Legislature, 11 New Hempstead Rd., New City, NY.
