Ward System Vote Count to Take Place on Wednesday, July 29, 2015

On June 24, 2015 a State Appeals Court Panel ordered the Town of Ramapo to count the ballots cast in its Ward System Vote, which took place on September 30, 2014. The process to validate and count the Ward System Vote will begin on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the Town Council Room (Ramapo Town Hall) at 9:30 a.m. Critics of the town government have complained that absentee ballots are being transported in such a way that officials will be able to see the address they are from and potentially “lose” ballots more likely to have voted “Yea.”
