Nyack College will host its 2015 Opportunity Golf Classic on Thursday, September 17 at The Saint Andrew’s Golf Club, America’s oldest golf venue located at 10 Old Jackson Avenue in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. The prestigious Saint Andrew’s Club, just 20 miles from New York City, was founded in 1888 and is also a founding member of the United States Golf Association (USGA). Club members and their guests play one of our nation’s favorite past times on a par-71 golf course which was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus in 1983.
The Orville H. Mann, Jr. Community Business Leader Award will be presented during a barbecue reception at 2 p.m. to Mr. Rob Rino of Rino Paving & Construction, Inc. Mr. Rino began working with the College’s campus in Rockland County twelve years ago. During this time he has transformed many areas of the nearly 133-year-old campus overlooking the Hudson River to showcase the majesty of the more than 100-acre property. The award’s namesake, Mr. Mann, was chief legal counsel for Nyack College for more than two decades. The award established in his name pays tribute to a trailblazing business leader in recognition of the individual’s exemplary service and loyal partnership with Nyack College.
Details on participation and sponsorships are available on the College’s homepage at www.nyack.edu. Early bird rates end on August 24. The deadline for payment and completed registration forms is September 11. For more information, contact Special Events Coordinator Nancy Gates via email at [email protected] or phone 845.675.4431.
