2015 LABOR DAY TRANSIT SCHEDULES IN ROCKLAND COUNTY

The Rockland County Department of Public Transportation has announced transit schedule changes for the upcoming Labor Day weekend. Transport of Rockland (TOR) and TAPPAN ZEExpress (TZx) buses will operate Saturday schedules on Labor Day. TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA service only. Schedules and links to other transit systems serving Rockland can be found at rocklandbus.com.

Friday – September 4th – Early Getaway Commuter Service:

• Transport of Rockland (TOR), TAPPAN ZEExpress (TZx) and TRIPS buses will operate regular weekday service.
• Coach USA’s Rockland Coaches (Red & Tan Lines) express bus routes from Manhattan to Rockland will operate early getaway service. Route #45 will begin service at 1:30 pm, Route #47 will begin at 2:30 pm and Route #49 will begin at 2:15 pm.
• Coach USA Express (Shortline) bus service from the Exit 14 Park & Ride lot will operate a modified schedule from Exit 14 in the morning and in the afternoon. Early getaway afternoon buses from Manhattan will be added at 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm from 56th St. & 5th Ave. and at 2:30 pm from Wall Street.
• NJ Transit’s Main/Bergen Line will operate a train departing from New York’s Penn Station at 2:33 pm and from Hoboken at 2:40 pm. The train that normally departs Penn Station at 6:03 pm and Hoboken at 6:13 pm will be cancelled.
• The NJT Pascack Valley Line will operate a train from Penn Station at 2:51 pm and Hoboken at2:58 pm. A train that normally departs Penn Station at 7:13 pm and Hoboken at 7:20 pm will be cancelled.
• Metro-North’s Port Jervis Line will operate a train departing Penn Station at 2:33 and Hoboken at2:40. A train that normally departs Penn Station at 6:03 pm and Hoboken at 6:13 pm will be cancelled.
• The Metro-North Hudson Line will operate a train departing Grand Central Terminal at 3:11 pm. A train that normally departs Grand Central at 5:57 pm will be cancelled.
• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will operate an early afternoon trip at 4:01 pm to connect with a Metro-North Hudson Line train departing Grand Central at 3:11 pm. The 7:20 pm ferry departure from Ossining will be cancelled.

Labor Day – Monday, September 7th:

• Rockland County’s TZx and TOR buses will operate Saturday service, except that TOR Loop #1 and Loop #2 will operate normal weekday schedules.
• TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA service only.
• Coach USA’s Rockland Coaches (Red & Tan Lines) will operate Sunday schedules on local bus routes #9, 9W, 11-A and 20. Commuter express routes will not operate.
• Coach USA’s Shortline buses and Monsey Trails buses will operate Holiday schedules.
• Clarkstown Mini Trans, Spring Valley Jitney and Coach USA Express (Exit 14 Park & Ride) buses will not operate.
• Saddle River AmeriBus route 11-C will operate Sunday schedules.
• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will not operate.
• Metro-North’s Hudson Line and Port Jervis Line trains will operate Sunday schedules.
• NJ Transit trains will operate Weekend schedules on the Main/Bergen Line and on the Pascack Valley Line.
