Pot House Suspects Arrested

The Clarkstown Police Department have arrested the man they suspect of running a major marijuana grow house in Valley Cottage.
On September 29, 2015 at approximately 5 a.m. the Clarkstown Police Department, with the assistance of the New York State Police, executed a search warrant at 8 Thomas Court in Valley Cottage and found clues to the suspect’s identity.
Nine days later, on October 8, 2015, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Clarkstown Police Department arrested Joseph Pisana, 39, of Douglaston, NY, after a car stop was conducted by patrol units on routine patrol in the area of Thomas Court in Valley Cottage. It appeared to police that Pisana was attempting to return to the house that was raided by the Clarkstown Police Department the prior.
Also arrested at the scene was his girlfriend, Lori Pirrone, 38, of Douglaston, NY. She was arrested for harboring a fugitive from justice as well as obstructing with the investigation. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and transported to police headquarters for processing.
Pisana was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the first degree (felony), criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree (felony), criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (felony), criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (felony), five counts of criminal possession of a firearm (felony), criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree (misdemeanor) and false personation (misdemeanor). Pirrone was charged with hindering prosecution in the second degree (felony) and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree (misdemeanor).
At the time of the search warrant being executed on the home, approximately 75 lbs. of marijuana with a street value of over $250,000 was recovered as well as five handguns, small amount of cocaine and over $40,000 cash.
