The A&P in Valley Cottage has been closed, while in the lodging industry the Comfort Inn has recently transformed into the Doubletree Hilton and the Fairfield Inn in Spring Valley morphed suddenly into the Quality Inn.
No word yet on what new store might occupy the space at the old Pathmark and A&P.
