Celebrating a brand new facility in Nanuet, NY, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, Coupé Theatre Studio welcomed hundreds of guests to its Grand Opening November 28, 2015. 20151128_101828Cosponsored by the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce, and the New City Chamber of Commerce, many Rockland County officials joined business owners, students and staff in the celebration. County Executive Ed Day, Clarkstown Supervisor-elect George Hoehmann, District 10 Legislator Harriet Cornell and others honored business owner Diane Frankel by attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Coupé Theatre Studio was founded in 1970 by Diane Frankel and recently moved to its new location in Nanuet, New York in September 2015. Her goal was to establish a performing arts school in Rockland County where each student would be trained with care and integrity while being given the best performing arts education and training available in all genres of dance, therefore producing versatile performers. These days, such performers are regarded as “triple threats” because they sing, dance and act, all with an equally high standard of ability. Mrs. Frankel’s philosophy for the Studio is based on her English background of training in dance and theatre. The training builds a solid foundation of technique, and provides students with a well-rounded background, producing dancers who are versatile.
