ROCKLAND BUSINESSWOMAN EARNS ACCOLADES

Maria (2)Maria Pampafikos, co-owner & vice president of theย Royal Regency Hotel (located in Yonkers, NY), was recently named a 2015 winner of two prestigious awardsโ€”Westfair Communications โ€œMilliโ€ award and 914INC. Magazineโ€™s โ€œWomen in Businessโ€ award. Maria, her husband Nick, and their three children reside in Rockland County, New York.

โ€œI am honored to receive both the โ€˜Milliโ€™ award from Westfair Communications and the โ€˜Women in Businessโ€™ award from 914INC. Magazine,โ€ said Pampafikos. โ€œMy family has owned the hotel since 1994, and I am committed to continuing their legacy while providing our guests with continued excellent customer service and care. In fact, we just completed a multi-million dollar renovation project this fall that transformed the hotel into Westchesterโ€™s first, and only, boutique hotel.โ€

On November 17, Westfair Communications celebrated their inaugural โ€œMilliโ€ awards. The award honors exceptional millennials (ages 21-34) living or working in Fairfield or Westchester counties who are changing the world in the following categories: community; “millipreneur” (entrepreneur); nonprofit; innovation; creative; technology; medical; and green.

On November 20, 914INC. Magazine hosted its annual โ€œWomen in Businessโ€ award”s reception. Every year, 914INC. Magazineโ€™s Q4 issue highlights the most enterprising and successful businesswomen in Westchester County, and then honors them at a special luncheon where guests can meet the honorees and learn from their successes.

In early 2014 the Royal Regency Hotel broke ground on a major multi-million dollar renovation project to re-brand and transform the hotel. Major renovations have been made to the hotel’s lobby, Crystal ballroom, guest rooms, suites and reception areas. The hotel celebrated its official grand re-opening in October.
