Nanny accused of stealing cash, jewelry, gift cards

ORANGEBURG – A Yonkers woman working as a nanny in Orangeburg has been arrested on charges that she stole thousands of dollars worth of cash, jewelry and gift cards from her employer, according to Orangetown police.

Police said Sara Doolan, 26, was arrested by Orangetown detectives in connection with the theft of $1,600 cash, $1,050 in assorted gift cards and jewelry worth about $2,000.

Doolan is accused of:
– Third-degree grand larceny
– Third-degree criminal possession of stolen property

Doolan was arraigned in Orangetown Town Court and was later released pending a hearing on the charges.
