Snow Tubing in Orange County

Cold weather fun for the whole family can be found snow tubing at Orange County’s Thomas Bull Memorial Park this winter. The Orange County Snow Tubing & Winter Sports Park is tentatively scheduled to open Saturday, January 16, conditions permitting. The park is situated in the Thomas Bull Memorial Park, 211 State Route 416 in the Town of Montgomery.

“Snow tubing at Orange County Park is a great way to get active and outdoors when the temperature plummets,” said Orange County Tourism Director Susan Hawvermale. “Riding down the hill is exhilarating, and you even get a lift back up the hill!”

The 800-foot snow tubing hill features two cable lifts, groomed lanes, and specially designed tubes built for a speedy, thrilling ride. The fee is $15 for Orange County residents and $20 for non-county residents for a 1 ½ hour tubing session. Proof of residency is required at check-in. Tubers must meet a minimum height requirement of 42 inches.

The Orange County Snow Tubing & Winter Sports Park’s hours of operation are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will also open January 18 and February 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The park additionally features an ice skating rink, sledding hill, and cross-country ski trails. Visitors must provide their own equipment for these free activities which are available until dusk as conditions permit.
