Troop NYC – Truck with 100 Pounds of Heroin Seized The New York State Police, New York Cityโs Special Narcotics Prosecutor, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and New York City Police Department have arrested and charged two men with transporting approximately 100 pounds of heroin hidden within vehicle parts within New York City. Following an investigation, the heroin was found concealed within a car axle and drive shaft casings in the bed of a silver pick-up truck. The DEA estimated that the black market value of the drugs is at least $14 million dollars. The men arrested are charged with one count each of Conspiracy in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
