La Greca are the expected guests at Austin’s New City, 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 23 for a special viewing party of the Islanders v. Wild and Rangers v. Devils games. The event will feature food and drink specials as well as “tailgate prizes, ticket giveaways and photo ops,” organizers said.

Austin’s New City, whose owners also own O’Malley’s in Nyack, Austin’s Piermont and a soon-to-open Austin’s in Hopewell Junction, linked up with ESPN via one of the restaurant’s distributors. “We work closely with our distributors to put on events for our patrons. Clarkstown is a big hockey town, so a night when the Islanders are playing and there is a Rangers/Devils game is perfect for a viewing party,” Austin’s marketing specialist Joe Giovalloni said.

DiPietro has become a hit on the radio following his retirement from professional hockey. He was once the first overall draft pick in the NHL draft but his career was marred by injuries. La Greca is the host of both  NY Jets and NY Rangers gameday shows on ESPN Radio 98.7 FM, as well as the co-host of the Michael Kay talk show.

Austin’s suggests attendees of the viewering party arrive before 7 p.m. to get themselves situated as space will be tight. Austin’s New City is located in the Clarkstown Plaza between DeCicco’s and Bow Tie Cinemas, 190 S. Main St., New City.

Giovalloni said Austin’s is all about the experience, so the restaurant encourages attendees to tag photos and comments to social media with the hashtag #ExperienceAustins at Tuesday’s party. The restaurant will share tagged posts to its social media sites throughout the night.

Austin’s New City recently unveiled new menu options and features a consistent rotation of options for night life including drink specials, late night food specials, live music and beginning March 1 trivia night every other Tuesday.
