YOUTHFEST 2016 – 18th Annual Kids Expo to be held March 6 at Rockland Community College in Suffern

Calling children of all ages! The 18th annual YouthFest is taking place at Rockland Community College on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Thousands of families are expected to flock to the event for a fun-filled day of entertainment, activities, interactive educational exhibits, food and more.

In its 18th year, YouthFest highlights include live performances by local arts organizations; Nyack Hospital’s Teddy Bear Hospital; Inflatable Party Adventures and the Big Apple Circus. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the RCC Fieldhouse. Admission is free. Parking is free.

“We’re planning a bigger and better YouthFest than ever before,” County Executive Ed Day said. “Along with an impressive list of activities and entertainment, YouthFest offers our residents key information about safety, health and wellness, special needs, education, summer camps, financial and college planning and other important family-related topics. One of our goals is to help parents and caregivers make informed decisions for their children by providing easy access to some of the best local services, programs and products available to them.”

As part of YouthFest, Rockland County Government Day allows visitors to view interactive demonstrations and informative displays and meet with over 25 County of Rockland departments, including the Youth Bureau, Fire and Emergency Services, County Executive, Social Services, Health, Public Transportation, Highways, Personnel and the Board of Elections. Department representatives will be on hand to answer questions and/or concerns. Government Day is a great way to learn about all the programs and services offered by Rockland County.
