Bounce U Celebrates Opening of Nanuet, NY location

bounceuA new concept in children’s indoor entertainment, Bounce U, held its official ribbon cutting on February 11, 2016.
Appealing to the toddlers-to- tweens age group, Bounce U offers inflatable slides with safe climbing access, bouncy houses and sports where children can play and hone motor skills at the same time. Bounce U differentiates itself by its “One Party
at a Time” policy, something few children’s entertainment venues offer.
Jon Horwich, a 25-year veteran of the children’s publishing industry, turned his attention to entertainment for children after he sold his publishing company.” I wanted to do something more community-based but stay in the business of children’s entertainment. I visited one of Bounce U’s franchises and fell in love with the concept.” Despite the Great Recession, Horwich bounced in feet first.
He bought his first Bounce U in 2010 in Paramus; a second one in Elmsford in 2012; and Horwich was scouting Rockland for “just the right location.” “We needed a unique space—one that had both the right ceiling height and square footage.
Because our customer base is families with young children, we needed a safe location with ample parking.
“I love the fact we were able to find space adjacent to the Shops at Nanuet in a strip mall that’s been totally renovated and has many child-related offerings, Tiger Schulman and Dance Coupe, as well as something for grown-ups: Pinot’s Palette.
The location met all our expectations,” said Horwich.
His partner, former Marine Scott Stecker, maintains Bounce U standards— “Squeaky clean is our motto. Everything is sanitized on a regular basis; it is well kept and the children well-supervised.
“We have a kitchen but don’t prepare any food here,” said Stecker. “Everything is catered in, which is one of the reasons Bounce U is so popular. Party planning is simple: You make your reservation, chose your caterer and menu and order the
cake. Parents send out the invitations and lets us know how many adults and children are attending,” said Horwich. “We supply the decorations, paper plates, cups and plastic eating utensils.” Bounce U also takes photographs of the child’s
party as part of the package.”
“We pack up the leftover food and the presents and put them in your car. You drive away. It’s a ‘stress-free’ party for the parents,” said Stecker. “People are looking for a clean, comfortable environment for their children’s party or for regular play. It’s
a pleasure to offer this to Rockland,” added Horwich.
