STONY POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT:

penaGRAND LARCENY & CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
Samuel Pena Jr., age 24, residing at 18 Lomond Avenue, Chestnut Ridge, NY, was arrested on April 19, 2016 for grand larceny in the fourth degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree. The defendant was arrested after investigation revealed he did allegedly steal property from the trunk of a vehicle at the Stony Point Motel. The defendant was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable at a later date.

FALSE PERSONATION, RESISTING ARREST & AUO
Jessica Hazlett, age 23, residing at 9 Pratt Street, Haverstraw, NY, was arrested on April 27, 2016 for false personation, resisting arrest and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree. The defendant was arrested after investigation revealed she was wanted on an active Bench Warrant for above stated charges. She was arrested, processed, arraigned and released on an appearance ticket returnable at a later date after posting $200 cash bail.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT
Jason Fornaro, age 27, residing at 7 Sand Street, Garnerville, NY, was arrested on Aprl 24, 2016 for aggravated harassment. The defendant was arrested after he was picked up by the Town of Haverstraw P.D. on an active Arrest Warrant out of the Town of Stony Point for stated charge .He was arrested, processed, arraigned and remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 bail

CLARKSTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT:

On Sunday May 1, 2016 at approximatelyย 2:50 a.m., the Clarkstown Police Department arrested a 27-year- old man for DWI in Nanuet. A patrol officer stopped the vehicle on Route 59 and Old Nyack Turnpike for a traffic infraction. The driver, Jose Noguera-Gomez, 27, of Orangeburg was interviewed and appeared to be intoxicated.

He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he failed a breathalyzer test. Noguera-Gomez had a prior DWI conviction. He was charged with driving while intoxicated (felony) and unreasonable speed (violation). He was arraigned at Clarkstown Justice Court and was released on his own recognizance. He will return to court at a later date.

1 2GRAND LARCENY & FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS
On May 2, 2016 at approximatelyย 5:15 p.m., the Clarkstown Police Department responded to Dickโ€™s Sporting Goods located in the Palisades Mall in West Nyack for a report of employee thefts.ย Responding patrol units interviewed a loss prevention employee who stated that one of their employees, Luis Hernandez, 20, of West Haverstraw was voiding purchases of merchandise made by a customer, Raul Lopez, 18, of West Haverstraw.

Lopez exited the store with merchandise without having paid for the items. Lopez has since been hired by Dickโ€™s Sporting Goods. The thefts were reportedly taking place over the last six months. In total, $2,670 worth of sporting merchandise was stolen. Hernandez was arrested and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degreeย (felony) and falsifying business records in the first degree (felony). Lopez was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degreeย (felony). Both suspects were arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court and were released on their own recognizance. They will return to Clarkstown Justice Court onย June 27, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
